3 & 4 Year Old Kindergarten
Our Kindy program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the Western Australian Kindergarten Curriculum. We also draw on respected approaches such as Reggio Emilia and Montessori to support a rich, child-led, multi-age learning environment.
We take the time to truly understand each child—what they know, what they wonder, and what challenges them. Through careful observation and documentation, we design responsive learning experiences that support their social, emotional, and academic growth, and share this journey with families.
Long-term projects allow children to engage in deep learning, making meaningful connections and applying their knowledge in new and different contexts. These experiences are enriched through excursions and visits from members of the wider community, bringing learning to life.
Children also learn with specialist teachers throughout the week in Music, Visual Arts, and Physical Education.
Regular time in nature is an essential part of our program. Through sensory, hands-on experiences—tending the vegetable garden, exploring the natural environment, and engaging in open-ended outdoor play—children develop curiosity, resilience, and a strong connection to the world around them.
Age Requirements
Our Kindy is a multi-age environment where 3- and 4-year-old children learn and play together.
Children can commence in our 3-year-old program once they turn 3 before 30 June. The 4-year-old Kindy program is for children who turn 4 between 1 July of the previous year and 30 June of the current school year.
Most of our 4-year-old children attend full days from Monday to Wednesday.
For younger children, half days can be a gentle introduction to Kindy. As confidence and readiness grow, 3-year-olds are welcome to extend to full days.
