Exciting Term Ahead for Upper Primary Students

The following is an example of a term at Moerlina!

We are gearing up for another sparkly term of learning and discovery here in our Upper Primary Years 4-6 class!

Digital technologies will be a big priority over the coming semester, as we explore some funky things about coding and programming. Sticking with this theme, our class has a cool STEM project day coming up in August: a collaboration with like-minded learners from Bold Park School and Chrysalis Montessori School. I can’t wait!

On the excursion front, our Upper Primary class will be attending a theatre performance of The Little Shop of Horrors at PLC next week. The props for this look pretty amazing, so lots of design and technology food for thought there too!

Our Outdoor Learning program will continue for the Upper Primary class, with Bush School (yay!) and Caring and Creating Fridays here at school. This is such an important and life-giving part of our school’s offerings to children. Many families try to provide these opportunities but the reality of busy weekends makes it difficult. Hence why it is so important we work together to make magic learning moments happen. It really DOES that a village to raise a child.

Then, of course, there’s maths, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, health, and all the other core areas to cover. Phew! No wonder we feel busy…we really are!

Here is a lovely photo from our last Term 2 Bush School session. What a glorious way to spend the last day of term!
